Big Time "WHAT THE HECK AM I WATCHING?!?!"

My brother has been watching Nickelodeon nonstop for the last couple days and I have really learned something from it: Big Time Rush = Nickelodeon's next big hit. Not! Small town kids become famous? We've certainly seen that before (hello, Sonny With a Chance). And the characters are a new level of stupid. We have:
Eyebrow Boy

Idiot Latino

Shim (she-him for those of you who are not familiar with the term)

And That-Other-Kid-No-One-Cares-About

To make things worse, they sing. That's right, sing. And what exactly are they singing? Irritating, Backstreet Boysish songs that get stuck in your head for WEEKS! Society has poisoned children's television! What happened to shows like The Amanda Show? I loved that show. I mean, Dancing Lobsters?
(that is comic genius right there)
So what was you're favorite kids' show? Or, what do you think is the worst children's show? Leave a comment!

Snooki For President?

This morning, inspiration hit me like a smack in the face. Although, I've never been smacked in the face. But I have been punched in the nose (which resulted in a bloody lip and 15 minutes of glaring)! Wait, I'm getting off topic. Actually, being punched in the face does have to do with the subject. I have an important question for you: If Lindsay Lohan and Snooki ran for president, who would you vote for? I think Lindsay Lohan would make a better president, because she's always high and drunk and getting arrested, so she would be impeached right away and we could get a better president. If Snooki ran the nation, I believe the Pledge of Allegiance would go a little something like this:
"I pledge allegiance to the guidos of the United States of America. And to the republic, for which it stands, one nation, under Snooki's pouf, indivisible, with liberty and booze for all."
What do you think? Who would make a better president? Leave a comment here!

I'm back!

Hey guys. I know you all missed me, and I can tell because NO ONE HAS COMMENTED YET (hint, hint)! If I were you, I would ask "Gee, where were you Kacey?". But I'm not you, so it's my job to tell everyone what I was up to. I went down to VA to visit family. It was pretty cool; they have a huge house and a huge TV. Oh, did I mention that they had a huge boat too? We went out tubing on the Potomac. It was only my second time, but I had a lot of fun. It consisted of being sprayed in the face with water, hanging on for dear life, and being whipped around by the boat. Today we had the 6 hour drive back in the rain, and I'm feeling the after effects of the day on the boat. My arms are beyond sore; I'm barely able to lift them and I have a nasty friction burn on my elbow so I can't straighten my arm. I'm also pretty exhausted, but I felt the need to explain my absence, and also to remind everyone to COMMENT, COMMENT, COMMENT! Catch you guys later!

Ciao,
Kacey

music, MUSIC, music

What is it? Just a pattern of sounds that is pleasing to the ear? Or is it something more? Whatever music is, I love it. My iPod is my best friend. I actually have to buy a new one because I ran out of space on my Nano (which I love dearly, but the time has come to give it away). This post is to tell you about some of my musical obsessions and your job is to comment and tell me about yours.

Play any instruments?: Cello, but I want to learn to play the electric bass.

Best band of all time?: The Beatles. There will never be anyone who can make music as amazing as the Fab Four.

Favorite music genres?: Rock (classic, like The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, and Aerosmith), pop (but not Disney pop. *barf*), and alternative.

Favorite bands?: Everything from Linkin Park to Selena Gomez (it's embarrassing, but only some songs, and I'm aware of how autotuned she is)

Current song obsession?: Believe. I know it was last week's song of the week but I love it.

Best female singer of all time?: Amy Lee from Evanescence without a doubt.

Best male singer(s) of all time?: Paul McCartney (my favorite Beatle) and John Lennon.

Share your musical obsessions here!

The Real New 'Joisey'

For all of you reality TV fans, you have probably seen some show about New Jersey. Whether it's The Jersey Shore, Jerseylicious, Jersey Couture, or The Real Housewives of New Jersey, each show is trying to be bigger and badder than the rest. Here are a few things you didn't know about the Garden State:
1. We do not have "New Jersey" accents (which are really New York accents)
2. We're not all Italian (my family has been located in New Jersey for over 100 years and I am not Italian.)
3. Almost no one on The Jersey Shore is actually from New Jersey.
4. No one actually goes to Seaside anymore. It's probably one of the crappiest beaches. If we go on vacation, we go to nice beaches like Cape May and LBI.
Believing all of these stereotypes about us New Jerseyans is like saying that all people from the South live in trailer parks and watch Nascar all day with a six pack (and I'm not talking about this kind!) and a bucket of KFC. Rethink NJ. Peace.

Take that, King Kong!

Victory is mine! Take that King Kong (my writer's block)! I have finally found something to write about (but the poll's still open, keep voting!). I happen to go on YouTube a LOT (and I mean a lot!) and I'm sort of obsessed with YouTube celebrities. You know what I mean, right? Those famous, but not Justin Bieber (*cringes*) or Miley Cyrus (*gags*) famous, video makers who we all know and love (iJustine, Fred, Shane Dawson, Kandee Johnson, Michelle Phan (well Kandee and Michelle do makeup tutorials, but they count as YouTube celebs to me!), etc.). After an iJustine marathon this afternoon, I've been wondering, how did they get so famous? The stuff I'm posting sounds JUST like something they'd say in they're videos, yet they have hundreds of thousands of subscribers and I have two followers (love ya, guys!). I mean, I'm aware I just got started, but we need to get the word out there! With more readers, we can take an up-and-coming blog like mine and make it epic spectacularness (no copyrights on that word, feel free to use it as long as you tell them you got it from frequentdaydreamer.blogspot.com)! Spread the word! Tell your friends! C'mon people! Help me out! By the end of the year, we can take 2 followers and make it 20 followers! Yeah!
Adios,
Kacey

Writer's Block

I never thought it would happen to me, but for the past two days I have been experiencing some serious writer's block. It's not just a small block, either. My writer's block is the size of King Kong and his sole intent is to stop all creative thoughts from entering my mind. To make matters worse, I just read all my friends' blogs, and of course they all seem better than mine. I mean, they're writing college essays for their posts and my posts are written just how I would say them in real life. What's up with that? Why don't I have amazing creative writing skills? But whatever, as I said before my goal is not to impress, and this is solely a place for me; whether you love it or hate it. Wait, what was this post about again? Oh, that's right, my writer's block. Well, here's how you can help me out. I'm posting a poll in the sidebar and all YOU have to do is click on the topic you'd like me to write about and click 'Vote'. That's it. Doesn't that sound simple? I must be off to update the other pages and create the poll.
